Angelina Jolie Did NOT Confront Marion Cotillard On ‘Allied’ Set, Despite Report
Angelina Jolie did NOT confront Marion Cotillard on the set of Allied over rumors she was having an affair with Brad Pitt, despite a bogus webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it “never happened.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt this past Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. Cotillard, who plays the actor’s love interest in the upcoming WWII thriller, Allied, played absolutely no part in his split, despite many outlets falsely claiming otherwise. But The Sun is the now latest tabloid to publish a bogus report surrounding Cotillard’s supposed involvement. A so-called “source” tells the newspaper, “Angelina was aggressive and very negative towards Marion when they met earlier this year on the set of Allied. Angelina insisted on being there to keep a watch on Brad and he was mortified by how he treated Marion who is happily married and a very professional woman.”
The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “It’s no wonder women in Hollywood have always kept their distance from Angelina when she’s prepared to behave like that.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us Jolie never confronted Cotillard on the set of Allied, nor did she ever suspect Pitt was having an affair.
The couple’s split solely involved family issues, and there were zero concerns about anyone cheating. As Gossip Cop also noted, Cotillard addressed Pitt and Jolie’s divorce on Wednesday by calling out the tabloids that have arbitrarily dragged her into the situation. Regardless, we’re told an alleged showdown between Jolie and Cotillard on the set of Allied “never happened,” and the newspaper’s claim otherwise is entirely fabricated.
