Angelina Jolie On “BFF Hunt” To Find New Female Friends, Claims Magazine
Angelina Jolie is on the hunt for new best friends, claims OK! magazine, the same outlet that spread false stories about the actress-director writing a $50 million tell-all and being pregnant with twins last year. The tabloid says Brad Pitt “has been on Angie’s case for years to work on her female friendships, and she’s finally taking his words to heart.” How so?
“Brad thinks it would be healthy for her to bond with women and set a good example for their daughters,” explains a so-called “source” for OK! “Now she’s on a mission to find female confidantes.” The magazine claims Jolie is targeting Lupita Nyong’o and Nicole Kidman as potential BFFs.
The fact that Jolie replaced Kidman in Mr. and Mrs. Smith is how OK! rationalizes that claim. “Angie thanks Nicole for inadvertently helping her meet Brad, so she’d love to reconnect,” says the magazine’s source. So… Jolie wants to become friends with Kidman, 10 years after a movie casting change, in order to set an example for her children? Huh?
For an outlet that’s repeatedly been duped by horrible sources into believing that Jolie is pregnant with twins, and then spreading those lies, OK! seems awfully comfortable making proclamations about the star’s desire for new friends. Of course, this is the same publication that wrongly claimed earlier this month that Jolie had a heart-to-heart phone call with Jennifer Aniston. Facts are not the outlet’s strong suit.
A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the alleged “BFF hunt” story is “bizarre and off base.” And we’re going to guess that Jolie’s humanitarian work is probably a little more important to her daughters’ development than whether she and Nicole Kidman have dinner.
