Mag: Angelina Jolie Fights ‘Mystery Illness’

Truth rating: 0

Angelina Jolie is battling a mystery illness that is causing her hair to fall out and speeding up her continuing weight loss,” claims Star magazine.

According to the tabloid, it’s a “dire situation,” and Brad Pitt is “begging her to get help.”

A so-called Star “source” alleges, “Angie’s not doing very well at the moment. She is eating, but the weight is still falling off and she’s constantly exhausted, often going to bed at the same time as the kids.”

An alarmist “insider” adds, “She cries for no reason, and she’s constantly getting colds and the flu. Angie’s hair is falling out, and she often has red patches on her arms.”

Uh-huh.

All of this is fascinating, except that Jolie is not going bald, is not constantly under the weather, is not dropping weight, and does not have patches on her arms.

Apparently, the magazine forgot that bogus claims about Jolie’s appearance should probably be backed up by some kind of observable evidence.

Of course, Star is the same outlet that wrongly claimed the actress wears butt pads and cheats with her bodyguard.

In other words, the tabloid has no clue what’s going on with Jolie.

A source close to Jolie tells Gossip Cop she’s in “excellent health,” and called Star‘s latest allegations “100 percent false.”

ugliness is a mysterious illness. ugh. poor girl.

There’s nothing ugly about her. All beauty inside/out. Go Angie!

Yeah, I like how no one ever believes stories from tabloids like Star magazine but whenever they say something negative about Angelina apparently they are reliable sources.

I don’t like her but if it is true I hope she gets medical help. ……Merry Christmas Chelsea Handler

She has no weigh to drop. Skin and bones already. Eat girl.

So Gossip Cop’s source is supposedly better than anyone else’s source? I don’t think so. Notice how GC’s only ever has a “source close to…” and this so-called unnamed source is always denying what the tabloids, the regular press, or the rest of the world is seeing or hearing with their own eyes. Methinks GC’s “sources” are the checks he received in the mail from celebrities’ publicists!

I found your headline extremly misleading. It seemed like a tease since you wrote in your article on Angela Jolie and her “mystery illness” she seemed perfectly okay. I suspect it was a lure to lure in unsuspecting viewers like me.

Wow Chelsea handler yuk no taste

Well. well. I guess Anderson Cooper, Charlie Rose, Marie Claire, Newsweek (to name a few), and the premieres in LA and NYC for her film In the Land of Blood and Honey are showing and writing about her and ignoring her falling hair and red patched under arms. Ya just can’t believe your eyes and ears these days. And that’s the real mystery!

How do you know she doesn’t eat. Are at home with her to see. You people are all so laughable. Angie is looks fantastic.

ya’ll can’t have a head of extensions sewed & glued in for 30 years and expect your ownhair not to fall out ..
now she’s doing it to the child who will be bald by the time she is 15 ..
a terrible thing to do to a child ..and painful too !!!!!
    ughhhhh!

Yeah, I wonder why none of the real reporters who have interviewed her in the past couple of weeks haven’t noticed how “sickly” she looks or that she is “losing her hair” from this “mysterious illness”? And the “red botches” should have been easy to spot since she wore short sleeve and sleeveless tops most of the time. I mean, there has been nary a word about this in print in any real magazine. What’s up with that? I guess those reporters you mentioned aren’t nearly as good or observant as those “insiders” at Star. Seriously, this is all so strange.

I have seen Angelina on every show she’s been on in the past two weeks and the woman looks beautiful, healthy, happy and totally into talking about her new film. The “Charlie Rose” interview was especially telling because you could see how she wanted her stars to be questioned about the movie and to tell their stories about the war. They were very interesting.

You are seriously disturbed if you think the tabloids, regular press, and rest of the world should all be mentioned in the same sentence. Angie looks terrific and GC’s sources are at least, real sources. GC doesn’t have to make up crap like the other tabloids.

  • smartchick

What the hell are you talking about?? Where do you get this so-called information?

  • guest1

it’s called anorexia!!!!!!!!!!! why are people trying to label her disease something else?

  • fredipee2

But, she does have a hard look to her, nothing nice at all.
