Kristen Stewart co-stars in the upcoming indie drama, Anesthesia, and the first trailer for the movie has just debuted online. Watch the new preview below!

The film follows multiple characters whose lives intersect after a Columbia University philosophy professor is violently mugged. Stewart plays one of the professor’s troubled students who suffers from major depression and has taken to cutting herself. We get a sense of the character’s struggle in the trailer below, as Stewart yells, “I am so lonely! I crave interaction. I crave it.”

Also starring in the drama are Glenn Close, Sam Waterston, Corey Stoll, Gretchen Mol, Michael K. Williams and Tim Blake Nelson, who also wrote and directed the film. The movie premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival where it received many positive reviews.

In addition to Anesthesia, Stewart has several films lined up for release in 2016. Among the actress’s upcoming projects are the sci-fi love story Equals, the ensemble drama Certain Women, the thriller Personal Shopper, the historical drama Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and a currently untitled Woody Allen movie.
