Andy Cohen NOT Begging For Billy Bush ‘Today’ Show Anchor Job, Despite Report
Andy Cohen is NOT begging NBC executives to give him Billy Bush’s former job as co-anchor of the “Today” show, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
Bush exited his gig at the “Today” show this week following the leak of a 2005 video depicting him and Donald Trump having a lewd conversation about women. And now according to RadarOnline, Cohen has set his sights on the newly vacated position. A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “Andy believes he’s proven himself adept at the type of conversation that is required on the third hour of ‘Today.’ It’s almost like ‘Watch What Happens’ was an audition for this.”
The webloid’s dubious insider then goes on to make the ridiculous assertion, “One thing NBC can be assured of — they won’t have to worry about Andy talking about p*ssy!” But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who assures us Cohen doesn’t want to replace Bush as a new “Today” show anchor. We’re exclusively told, “Andy loves hosting ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ and of course being a part of the NBC family is thrilled when he can appear on ‘Today’ as well, but he is not gunning for anyone’s job there.”
