Andrew Garfield: I’m At “Peace” With “Spider-Man” Reboot, Tom Holland Is “Brilliant Actor” — WATCH VIDEO HERE!
Andrew Garfield says he’s at “peace” with getting re-cast as Spider-Man as Sony reboots the franchise. Watch below.
As Gossip Cop reported, it was announced in June that Tom Holland will star as Peter Parker in a new Spider-Man origin movie. The studio opted to start the film series over after mixed responses to Garfield’s stints in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man. And though some may look at the decision as a firing, Garfield seems to be quite fine with it.
“It’s a mixed bag and it’s a blessing. I got to do it twice. I got to meet incredible artists. I got to have a wild experience. And now I get to let it go, which is actually a really lovely thing,” Garfield tells E!. He adds, “I’m very kind of at peace with it. It ran its course.”
Garfield brings up his replacement, calling Holland a “brilliant actor.” “I’m just like, ‘I can’t wait to watch,'” he says. “I can’t wait to be a fan again and just watch and enjoy myself watching again.”
The new Spider-Man, directed by Jon Watts, is expected to hit theaters in 2017. It sounds like Garfield might be one of the first in line for tickets. Check out the video below, and tell us what you think of his reaction to the reboot.
