Anderson Cooper Wedding Claim Not True
Anderson Cooper is not planning a wedding, despite a report falsely claiming he’s set to wed his longtime boyfriend. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story, which we’ve learned is inaccurate.
“Here Comes The Groom! Anderson Cooper Plans Lavish Wedding With Boyfriend,” blares the headline of a purported “exclusive” from RadarOnline. The accompanying story claims, “It’s wedding bells for Anderson Cooper — because his mother’s sick of the openly gay bachelor just shacking up! The 49-year-old CNN anchor’s planning a spring wedding to club owner Benjamin Maisani, 43 — and Gloria Vanderbilt is thrilled.”
A so-called “pal” is quoted as telling the webloid, “Anderson’s turning 50 next summer, so he finally figured it was time to take the plunge. It took a nudge from Gloria to make it happen!” The supposed source goes on to morbidly allege, “Gloria knows she isn’t going to live forever; she dreamed of having one more big, happy occasion in their family’s lives before all is said and done. Anderson held up against her pressure — until now.”
“Anderson wanted to pay for a lavish wedding, but Gloria wouldn’t hear of it! It’s going to be a big day in both of their lives,” the outlet’s tipster further claims. And yet Gossip Cop is told there’s no such “big day” in the works.
An impeccable contact assures Gossip Cop that Cooper is NOT planning a wedding. “There is no truth here,” we’re exclusively told. “Total B.S.” That’s usually the case with RadarOnline.
