Anderson Cooper Daytime Show Canceled

Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show has been canceled.

The current second season of “Anderson Live” will be the series’ last, it was announced on Monday.

New episodes will be produced through next summer.

In a statement, Warner Bros. said, “We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced. While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through.”

Cooper released his own statement, saying, “I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons, I am grateful to [producer] Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and I am indebted to the audience, who have responded so positively.”

He added, “I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, but I have truly enjoyed it.”

    I can’t believe Anderson Cooper won’t be back!! His program is so good! Someone needs to rethink this decision or find another place for Anderson to have his own program during the day. Just in the evening doing the news isn’t enough! Bring him back!

    Love Anderson, but not surprised. The show/format was unremarkable. A clone of every other chat show out there.

    I love Anderson but I rarely look at his afternoon show….I have too many things to do!

    I just love his night show on CNN……he sparkles & shine at nights,,,,very interesting!!
    He’s an excellent & distinguished journalist and takes his job quite seriously…. a fair and knowledgeable reporter too!

    I can’t believe they’re cancelling Anderson! He is so down to earth and asks questions that we all are thinking. I don’t really like these “co-host” shows they’ve been having but other than that he has interesting guests and I look forward to watching his show every day. There are some truly awful talk shows so why are they allowed to stay on? Plus I heard that Queen Latifah is having a talk show this fall. (not sure which network.) Not happy…..

    I am very sad the show has been cancelled. I switched from watching Ellen to watch him because he does some very interesting stories. Also I think he seems more relaxed and accessable to his fans
