Anderson Cooper was attacked today by a pro-government mob while covering the demonstrations in Cairo.
“We were set upon by pro-Mubarak supporters, punching us in the head, attacking my producer… my cameraman,” Cooper said on the air. “The crowd kept growing and throwing punches, kicks, trying to grab us. It was pandemonium.”
“Suddenly a young man would come up, look at you, and then punch you in the face,” he added.
Luckily, no one was seriously hurt, and Cooper and his CNN crew quickly found refuge on a nearby roof.
