Amy Schumer Did NOT “Throw Massive Fit” At Equinox Gym, Despite Report
Amy Schumer did NOT “throw [a] massive fit” at a New York gym on Monday, despite a new webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. A rep tells us the claims are untrue.
According to RadarOnline, Schumer was a “trainwreck at the front desk” at a “lux Equinox gym on New York City’s Upper West Side.” The site claims the “trouble began when the actress forgot her membership card.” After “an employee turned her away, reminding her she needed a card for entrance,” the comedienne supposedly went into a “rage.”
“She threw a massive fit,” a so-called “eyewitness” alleges to the outlet. “She screamed, ‘I know you know who I am, I’m famous!’” The RadarOnline tipster goes on to claim Schumer then “stormed out.” The webloid further describes the star as leaving “in a tizzy.”
No evidence was provided to substantiate this account, aside from the unnamed witness’ claims, which RadarOnline first reported four days after the incident allegedly took place. Naturally, Gossip Cop was suspicious. Now a rep for Schumer tells us the tale is “total B.S.”
With Schumer finishing up a breakout year, Gossip Cop isn’t surprised to see her become fodder for the gossip mill. We’ll continue to separate fact from fiction as needed.
