Amy Schumer Did NOT Hire Boyfriend Ben Hanisch As Her Assistant, Despite Report
Amy Schumer did NOT hire her boyfriend Ben Hanisch to be her assistant, despite a report. Gossip Cop can bust the claim, which comes from this week’s tabloids.
According to the new issue of Star, which hit newsstands on Wednesday, Schumer and Hanisch “haven’t left each other’s sides since going public with their romance in January.” And the magazine claims to know the reason why: “The comedian offered her boyfriend a job as her unofficial assistant!”
“Amy is one of the most sought-after actors right now, with a jam-packed schedule to prove it. Hiring Ben to help out just means they’ll get to spend more time together,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying. “She’s in love. Amy and Ben never want to be apart and she trusts him with all her heart.” As for Hanisch, it’s said he’s “ready and willing to do her bidding.”
Of course, Hanisch already has a job working as a furniture designer in Chicago. And he and Schumer certainly aren’t spending all their time together. In fact, one day before this story came out, Hanisch posted on Instagram about having to leave his girlfriend. Star may claim to know about stars, but it obviously doesn’t know what’s going on with this couple, because assistants usually stick around.
In any case, while the blossoming romance between the two is still going strong, a rep for Schumer denies she has hired Hanisch as her assistant.
