Amy Schumer Buys Dad’s Farm Back (VIDEO)
Amy Schumer says she bought her dad’s farm back, which the family lost during difficult financial times. Alongside a video of herself as a young girl in a cornfield, which she posted to Instagram on Monday, Schumer wrote, “We lost the farm when we lost everything else. But today I got to buy it back.” See the video below.
The comedienne also posted a photo of herself and her dad Gordon FaceTiming, during which she told him the news. Schumer captioned the picture of her and her father FaceTiming, “Today I bought my father’s farm back.” She makes no mention, however, where the farm is. Schumer has noted in the past, however, that after her father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, her family went broke.
In the decades-old video Schumer posted, she seemingly is pretending to run away into the fields, as she tells her father “goodbye,” to which he responds, “Goodbye. I love you.” She then says, “You will miss me.” But not playing into her game, as he continues to videotape Schumer on the farm’s lush farm, her dad says, “Of course I will [miss you], my darling.” She then adds, “I really mean… I’ve leaving.” “What do you mean you’re leaving?” Schumer’s dad asks, as the video ends. Check out Schumer’s photo of her giving her dad the news (below), as well and the old video of her on the family farm.
