Amy Schumer Proposed To Boyfriend Ben Hanisch?
Amy Schumer did NOT propose to her boyfriend Ben Hanisch, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to the National Enquirer, the comedienne is anxious to tie the knot with her boyfriend, who’s she’s been dating for around a year. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Amy’s ready to settle down and be a wife to Ben! Amy sat down and popped the question. She told Ben she wants to be married.” The outlet’s dubious inside further claims the couple has already started planning a spring 2017 wedding, adding, “He never thought she’d be the white-dress-and-vows type girl, but Ben’s a traditional guy, so he was thrilled.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who assures us the tabloid’s story is “not true.” We’re told the couple simply isn’t engaged, nor are they planning a wedding. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out the Enquirer for publishing a false report about Schumer.
We previously busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Jennifer Lawrence had ended her friendship with Schumer. And shortly before that piece of fiction, we debunked the magazine’s claim that Kate Hudson was jealous of Schumer’s friendship with her mom Goldie Hawn. There was no truth to either of those claims, and the same goes for this latest one.
