Season 10 came to an end on Wednesday with the 2015 winner announced during part two of the live finale at Radio City Music Hall. As Gossip Cop reported, the 10 finalists had their last chance to win America’s votes when they performed at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday. Some acts disappointed the judges, who all gave standing ovations for The CraigLewis Band and “Professional Regurgitator” Stevie Star.
Stuttering comedian Drew Lynch also received a standing ovation from Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin and comedian-magician Piff The Magic Dragon also learned raves. But, one by one, each act had to have its dreams crushed on the results finale. In the end, only one act could win the $1 million prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas.
More than through the two-hour broadcast, Nick Cannon started revealing who scored enough votes to make a Top 5, and who was to be eliminated immediately. Eliminated immediately were magician Derek Hughes, comedian Gary Vider, ladder acrobat Uzeyer Novruzov, singer Benton Blount, and, surprisingly, Piff.
That left a Top 5 of mentalist Oz Pearlman, stuttering comedian Drew Lynch, professional regurgitator Stevie Starr, music duo The CraigLewis Band, and ventriloquist Zerdin. Next, it was revealed The CraigLewisBand finished in fifth place. In fourth and third came Starr and Pearlman, respectively.
That meant the final result came down to Drew Lynch and Paul Zerdin. Cannon revealed there was only a ONE PERCENT difference in the vote. And in the end, ZERDIN was named the WINNER!
Interestingly, the final result was a victory for former judge Piers Morgan, who chose Zerdin as his Golden Buzzer act when he was a guest judge during the Judge Cut round. It was a heartbreaking loss, however, for Howie Mandel. The judge chose Lynch as his Golden Buzzer act on the season’s very first episode.
