With the dust settled after Tuesday’s blowup between Howard Stern and Howie Mandel, “America’s Got Talent” got back to business on Wednesday.

The second round of semi-finalists were announced, with four acts chosen from the group of 12 that performed last night.

So, which contestants did America – and the judges – choose to keep in the competition?

And did Big Barry, the cause of Stern and Mandel’s clash, beat elimination?

SPOILER ALERT!

- Extreme contortionist Turf

- Rocker Tim Hockenberry

- Stand-up comedian Tom Cotter

- Acrobats Donovan & Rebecca (chosen by the judges)

Barry, much to Stern’s relief, was eliminated – but, like the other acts voted off, could return in the upcoming wild card round.

Next week, the quarter-finals continue with more of the Top 48.

    I was sad that the Hawley magic team didn’t get a spot — they were fantastic. While Turf is great at contorting his body, I myself wouldn’t pay money to see a whole show of that! I hope maybe the Hawleys will get a 2nd chance in the wild card round.

    I agree with the judges top four choices and finally, Howard took care of Big Barry who is not longer in. I’m glad Howard told Howie that he’s not the act they want and he just doesn’t have what Americas looking for. Now that we have the top four choices and others following I can’t wait to see what’s next on the show. This happens to be one of my favorite shows during primetime. I’m stoked to be able to watch this show commercial free with the new Auto Hop feature. The Auto Hop feature, which my coworker from Dish showed me, is about to make TV enjoyment better. I have the choice to sit through boring commercials or skip them on my PrimeTime Anytime recordings. This feature only works a day after the shows have aired. This does the fast forwarding for me, and I won’t wear the batteries in my remote like I’ve always done.
