America’s Got Talent Results: Judges Make First Cuts With Neil Patrick Harris
“America’s Got Talent” kicked off the second round of season 10 on Tuesday with the first episode of “Judge Cuts.” Who survived? See the list below!
With Neil Patrick Harris selected by Howard Stern join the deliberations as a guest judge, the panel evaluated 20 acts that had previously earned a call-back after making it through the initial audition round. Each act again took the stage in hopes of wowing the judges, and particularly Harris, who could use the Golden Buzzer once to send a contestant straight to the live shows at Radio City Music Hall, regardless of how anyone else felt. As Gossip Cop noted earlier, Harris pushed the button for Piff the Magic Dragon, giving the magician a huge advantage.
The rest of the acts listened to feedback, and then had to wait until everyone performed to find out if they were part of the group of seven to go on to Radio City, a pattern that will repeat over the next three weeks until “AGT” has 28 acts in total for the third phase of the competition. The panel was seen fighting over various contestants, and it seemed Harris would be the tie-breaking vote in a number of instances.
So, who will be part of the Radio City round? The seven selected by the judges are: Chapkis Dance, comedian Myq Kaplan, Freelusion Dance Company, rock band 3 Shades of Blue, crossbow shooter Silvia Silvia, singer Samantha Johnson, who earlier received a standing ovation, and Piff.
Next week, another 20 acts will be cut down to just seven, with the help of guest judge Michael Buble. Tell us what you think of tonight’s results in the comments below!
