“America’s Got Talent” Results: Last Season 11 Semifinalists Revealed!
“America’s Got Talent” revealed the last of the season 11 semifinalists on Wednesday. Get the results below!
As Gossip Cop reported, this year’s quarterfinals began in late July, kicking off the 2016 live episodes at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Twelve acts took the stage to compete for America’s vote, and seven made it through to the upcoming semifinals. That process repeated with the next bunch of acts in early August.
On Tuesday, following a two-week hiatus due to the Olympics, the third and final group of 12 had their chance to perform in hopes of winning the last seven semifinal slots. As Gossip Cop reported, the standout moments included Grace VanderWaal singing her original song, “I’ll Hold Your Hand,” Brian Justin Crum performing “In The Air Tonight,” and dance-drumming group Malevo ending up in a group hug with “AGT” judge Simon Cowell.
Now on Wednesday’s installment, host Nick Cannon revealed which acts received enough votes to go onto the semifinals. The five that made it through based on viewers’ votes alone were: young magician Kadan Bart Rockett, Vanderwaal, Crum, family band Edgar, and magician Blake Vogt.
A capella group Linkin Bridge, Malevo, and singer Ronee, however, were all in jeopardy after ranking sixth, seventh, and eighth in the vote tallies, though the exact order was not revealed. Fans could vote online during the show to send just one of the acts to the next round. And it was Malevo that won the save.
That left it up to the judges to decide whether Linkin Bridge or Ronee should take the final spot. Mel B cast the first vote for Linkin Bridge, and then so did Howie Mandel. Heidi Klum, however, gave her vote to Ronee. It was then up to Cowell, who gave the deciding vote to Linkin Bridge, sending them to semifinals.
Next week, the semifinal round will finally begin with VanderWaal, Vogt, and Edgar among the acts taking the stage again. Watch full video of the results announcement below!
