American Idol Reveals Top 8 Guys After Four Men Eliminated
“American Idol” revealed the eight guys that will continue on to the season 14 live episodes on Wednesday, and eliminated four men. Get the results here!
As Gossip Cop reported, the men in the Top 24 performed for America’s votes for the first time last week, with Clark Beckham and Quentin Alexander being among the standouts. Unfortunately, not all of them could continue on, and it was up to viewers to decide who would be cut and who would be saved for the first time this season.
For Wednesday’s episode, all 12 men were prepared to perform, but four had to be sent home without singing a note. Savion Wright, Riley Bria, Michael Simeon, and Trevor Douglas were all eliminated after receiving the lowest number of photos. Understandably, all four were quite disappointed.
The news was actually surprisingly as well. Wright had just finally made the Top 24 after narrowly missing the cut last year. Simeon, who wooed Jennifer Lopez with a slow dance in his first audition, seemed like he was continuing to charm. Bria was heralded as an up-and-coming new Keith Urban. And Douglas was praised for his looks and musicality.
The eight men left in the competition are: Beckham, Alexander, Daniel Seavey, Mark Andrew, Rayvon Owen, Nick Fradiani, Jr., Qaasim Middleton and Adam Ezegelian. After the guys’ Motown-themed performances in Detroit tonight, it will be the ladies’ turn on Thursday. Four women will be eliminated based on last week’s votes, leaving eight remaining. When combined with the men left, that will make the Top 16. Based on this week’s votes, though, two of each gender will ultimately be cut, and then, finally, we’ll have the season 14 Top 12.
