“American Idol” is coming back — but in reduced form.

On Monday, Fox honcho Kevin Reilly confirmed that the singing competition is set to return for a 14th season, although in a “streamlined” format.

It’s expected that after a two-night model during the audition phrase, “Idol” will drop down to a single one-night, two-hour broadcast for most of the weeks of its run.

Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., are “likely” to come back next year, said Reilly.

As Gossip Cop reported, host Ryan Seacrest has already signed on to return.

The show has had the lowest ratings of its 13-year run during 2014.

Do you think it’s a good idea for “American Idol” to go down to one night a week?
