“American Idol” Results: Top 8 Revealed For Farewell Season 15 After Judge’s Save
“American Idol” is down to the Top 8, with Thursday’s show featuring performances, results, and a judge’s save that ultimately determined the double elimination. Get all the details below!
As Gossip Cop reported, viewers finally got the right to vote for the farewell season just last week, helping to choose the contestants in the Top 10. The group then all took the stage for their first live performances of season 15. But though it was up to the audience to vote afterward, the elimination ended up being in the judges’ hands.
The five contestants who received the highest amount of votes were revealed to be one-by-one, getting to give their new Top 8 performance. Towards the end of the two-hour broadcast, only the bottom three vote-getters were left standing. Now all had the chance to perform in hopes the panel would offer them redemption.
Avalon Young went first, singing “Earned It.” Then Olivia Rox sang Pink’s “Trouble.” And lastly, Gianna Isabella performed, “If I Ain’t Got You.”
In the end, the judges saved… Young! The other two were instantly eliminated, despite what America’s vote might’ve been. Now the full Top 8 is: Dalton Rapattoni, Lee Jean, Sonika Vaid, MacKenzie Bourg, La’Porsha Renae, Trent Harmon, Tristan McIntosh, and Young. Watch the elimination go down below.
