“American Idol” Results: Top 6 Revealed For Farewell Season 15 After Judge’s Save
“American Idol” said goodbye to two more contestants and revealed the season 15 Top 6 on Thursday’s show. Check out the results video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the judges saved Avalon Young from the bottom three last week, allowing her to join the Top 8. Votes for all of last week’s performances were tallied to now determine which contestants were in jeopardy this week. The lowest vote-getters were Avalon Young, Lee Jean, and Sonika Vaid.
All three, however, had the chance to sing for redemption in hopes of avoiding the double elimination. Young went first, performing Michael Jackson’s “Pretty Young Thing.” Jean sang The Beatles'”Let It Be” next, with Vaid doing Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” afterward. It was then up to the judges to once again choose which singer to save.
And they picked Vaid! The other two were instantly eliminated. The now-completed Top 6 for the farewell season consists of La’Porsha Renae, MacKenzie Bourg, Tristan McIntosh, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni, and Sonika Vaid. Next week, the process will repeat to determine the Top 5. Check out the video below of the final announcement.
