“American Idol” Results: Find Out First Singers In Top 14 And Who Was Eliminated
“American Idol” revealed the first seven singers in the season 15 Top 14 on Thursday’s results show, eliminating five contestants in the process.
As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 24 for the “farewell season” was revealed last week. Now for the semifinals, the aspiring stars have been divided into two groups of 12. The first group peformed on Wednesday, with MacKenzie Bourg, Gianna Isabella, and La’Porsha Renae among the highlights.
Now on Thursday’s show, the 12 singers had the chance to perform again, this time joined by past “American Idol” winners and standouts: Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Caleb Johnson, and reigning champ, Nick Fradiani. But afterward, only seven could remain in the competition, joining seven more next week to make up the Top 14. So, who didn’t make the cut?
Well, the power was all in the judges’ hands. And Stephany Negrete, Jenna Renae, James Dawson VIII, Jordan Sasser and returning contestant Emily Brooke were the ones who saw their “Idol” hopes dashed and were given the boot. Those chosen to continue on to the Top 14 are Bourg, Isabella, Renae, Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Sonika Vaid, Avalon Young, and Thomas Stringfellow.
Next week, the second and final group of 12 will have their own solo chances on Wednesday, with duets on Thursday. At that point, five again will be eliminated and the seven safe contestants will round out the Top 14. Stick with Gossip Cop for coverage each week!
