American Idol Invites Obama To Duet With Al Green

“American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe was so impressed with President Obama’s rendition of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” that he’s invited the Commander-in-Chief to perform on the reality show.
Lythgoe tweeted on Monday, ”@BarackObama we loved your vocal performance so much we’d love to invite you on to #AmericanIdol this Season for a duet with Al Green.”
Obama debuted his stellar singing talents during a fundraiser at Harlem’s Apollo Theater earlier this month.

Of course, it’s highly unlikely that the President will accept the invitation… but it’s still a pretty cool idea!
