Amber Rose is “pissed” and “upset” after being used for a prostitution ring, a source tells Gossip Cop exclusively.

Rose was unwittingly being used as bait by a company promising to launch modeling careers for women. The scam would begin via an Instagram ad seeking women “for a paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line” associated with Rose. To convince the applicants that the gig was authentic, the perpetrators would set up a FaceTime call using old footage of Rose, and then have it cut out, supposedly due to poor service.

The scheme would then escalate to asking the prospective models to go on dates with rich men, telling them that being “intimate” would help further their career goals. One suspicious woman, however, filed a police report with the LAPD on Monday, accusing the company of actually running a prostitution ring.

Rose only caught wind of the stunt a few days ago, tweeting, “If ur receiving emails or Text from dat ain’t me Bih. Apparently that email has been Facetiming my fans 2 with an old ustream I did then hanging up saying they have bad reception smh. Tricky F*cks….. Very creative tho. I’ll give them that.”

But now that the full goal of the scam has been revealed, Gossip Cop is told Rose, separate from her own name being associated with it, is “upset anyone would do this kind of thing in the first place” to women. Our source, who is working with Rose on a legitimate new project, adds that she “feels sorry” for the women who were duped, and hopes the cops nail the people behind it.
