Amanda Seyfried: “I Want To Be A Mother Badly,” Feels “Like My Eggs Are Dying”
Amanda Seyfried admits in a new interview that she is anxious to become a mother, and feels like her “eggs are dying.”
The 29-year-old actress, who is dating Justin Long, says in Marie Claire UK’s August issue about having kids, “I need to get on it. I want a child, badly. I want to be a mother, badly.” She continues, “That’s how I feel. I’ve been feeling it for like, two years. I keep feeling like my eggs are dying.”
Seyfried, however, also confesses that even though she wants to be a mother, she’s not sure she’s actually ready. “But nobody’s ready,” points out the star. She adds, “It changes everything. So how you can ever be ready for that?”
The Ted 2 star further reveals to the magazine that she doesn’t want a big wedding because she’s always playing dress-up for movie premieres. “I do that for a f*cking living. Putting on a dress and saying vows to the person I love is fine, if I am alone with him,” says Seyfried. “That’s what is really meaningful to me.”
And at another point in her interview, Seyfried shares that she’s been in therapy. “I’ve been told to not talk about it, but [anxiety] is so very common. I just think, you go to your doctor about heart problems, or an eye doctor if you have an infection, you have to take care of yourself,” she says, noting, “Mental health is so segregated, it sucks. You don’t necessarily have to have something chemically wrong with your brain to have mental health issues. TELL US: What do What do you think about Amanda Seyfried’s candid comments?
