Hayden Panettiere‘s Lifetime film, “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy,” may get scrapped before its scheduled airing on February 21.
That’s if a lawyer for Amanda Knox – the American student found guilty of killing British roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy – gets his way.
Knox’s attorney, Carlo Dalla Vedova, is demanding that Lifetime cancel the movie’s screening.
Knox, along with her ex-boyfriend and another man, was convicted of sexually assaulting and stabbing Kercher to death in Perugia, Italy in 2007.
She was sentenced to 26 years in prison, and is currently appealing the decision.
Jon Kercher, the father of the victim, has already called the re-enactment scenes “absolutely horrific.”
Below is a trailer for “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy.”
Do you think Lifetime should air the movie?
