The Voice Cuts 2, Reveals Shocking Top 4

It was a rough night for coach Adam Levine on “The Voice” on Tuesday, where the Top 4 was revealed after some unexpected eliminations.

Two of the six acts that performed on Monday — each of whom had to show off their vocal chops on two songs — were sent home based on viewers’ votes.

So, which acts had the lowest amount of votes and were booted?

Melanie Martinez, from Levine’s team, was the first to be surprisingly eliminated.

Later, Amanda Brown, also from Levine’s team, was shockingly voted off, too.

That means just Cassadee Pope, Trevin Hunte, Terry McDermott, and Nicholas David remain in the competition.

    It’s fixed. Cassadee Pope will win. Pope should have been gone. Amanda Brown is a better singer than Pope. I smell something.

    If the I tunes multiplier wasn’t taken into consideration I think the outcome would have been much different. Just because people liked the songs performed by certain artists last night and downloaded them doesn’t take away from all past performances by the others. Not a fair way of judging this competition in my opinion. Two very talented women went home because of this rule.

    I love Terry McDermott and think he should win — but I thought Amanda Brown was fabulous. I was never a Melanie Martinez fan — she was so breathy to me —

    I also am not a Nicolas David fan either —

    I think it will come down to Trevan Hunt and Cassadee Pope.
    When Terry goes, I go.

    Cassadee Pope has a nice voice, but she is BORING!! I would pay to listen to Melanie or Amanda, not Cassadee…

    I hate to see Amanda go. I think she was the best all around. Trevin has the best chops hands down…but I don’t see star quality in his personality. Melanie had the weakest voice, but to me it was the most unique and she was by far the most original, creative and artistic. Nicholas is great….he deserves to stay. Terry can certainly hit the notes but his voice doesn’t move me compared to Trevin or Nicholas. Cassadee is good, but not particularly unique or interesting to me. Amanda is a stronger vocalist than Cassadee, she has more stage presence and she is damn sexy…I predict that she will make it further in the biz than any of them. I was pulling for Amanda and Melanie but I’m cheering for Nicholas now.

    I think it’s fixed, too. Have you noticed that Cassadee is always the last to sing on the show? I think it’s been decided she will be the winner. It may end up between her and Nicholas since he always sings right before her. Amanda was clearly the better singer.

    You are all fools, Cassadee is much better all around, Nicholas has a unique voice, as did Mel, too bad she sucked the last two weeks, i was surprised to see Amanda go, but they will do better by not winning and signing with a recording artist. Go Team Blake all the way!!

    All a matter of opinion and personal taste. I loved her but I think Nicholas David is the heart of the voice this year.

    I agree with the results of the top 4 pretty much, but not totally. I think Cassadee is fabulous! I love Terry too. I’m iffy on Trevin……….he’s got a good voice, but I don’t see much stage presence or something…….can’t put my finger on it. I liked Melanie, but not sure I could listen to a whole album of her breathy little-girl voice. I could listen to an album of both Nicholas or Amanda. I think Amanda is GREAT! I probably would have put her in the top 4 over either Trevin or Nicholas.

    In the duet that Amanda and Cassadee did, I thought that Cassadee had the stronger and more unique voice. I’m a rock fan, so I have LOVED Amanda’s performances and I love seeing a female rocker with a dynamite voice……….a real voice, not one that has been adjusted and improved with gadgetry and machines.

    I think it will come down to Trevin and Cassadee too, and I think Trevin will win. Not sure why I think that, just a feeling, but we’ll see.

    Thank God they voted off Melanie. Wish it had been Melanie and Nicholas. Tired of all that humble pie bowing stuff. And he sounds the same on every song. His “Over the Rainbow” was a total bore.

    No……it’s opinion. We al have different taste in performers. There are no facts to argue. I’m not a Justin Bieber fan – that is just personal taste. Should I say it’s a fact he’s bad? Nope :)

    I’m so pissed about Amanda being eliminated! She is so talented and beautiful! I thought it was going to come down to her and Trevin. Unreal….Amanda is gone and Cassadee stays.

    The elimination that surprised me the most was Amanda Brown. I always thought that she would go all the way because she has so much versatility and a real stage presence. You just never know with The Voice so I’ve always got my DISH Hopper recording the show each week. It’s got the PrimeTime Anytime feature which records all the shows on the big four networks and that way I know I won’t miss a thing. Melanie wasn’t my favorite but she was doing well on the charts so I figured she was safe. My DISH co-worker was really surprised by both eliminations but these things happen.

    Cassadee is very good and the performance she did of “Over You” is the best of the season… Trevin has a good voice but ZERO stage presence. Nicholas is a 1 trick pony and can only do 70′s music… Melanie was god awful… Amanda and Cassadee are the top 2 with Terry not far behind at all.

    I agree BUT … the show gets $$$ from the i-tunes sales, so it makes sense that they would give them a higher value.

    I can’t believe Trevin is still in. who cares about hard luck stories. has nothing to do with the voice. Amanda was too screech and loud like so many. cascades is like way too many others. not unique. I hope its nick or terry. I also think Bryan should still have had a longer stay. and I would actually buy music with nick or terry. on vocals.
