Amal Clooney Rude To Waiters, Demanded George Tip Less?
Amal Clooney was NOT rude to waiters during a recent dinner outing, nor did she demand that husband George Clooney leave a smaller tip, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it “never happened.”
According to the National Enquirer, Amal believes that the actor is too generous with servers and told him to cut back on his gratuity. A supposed “restaurant manager” tells the tabloid, in bizarrely unnatural language, “The famous pair recently popped into a top Hollywood eatery and staffers were thrilled until Amal unleashed her ‘stingy claws.'” The magazine’s seemingly made-up source adds, “She was not only rude and dismissive, but made George go easy on the tip!”
Not surprisingly, the publication did not mention where or when this supposedly took place, nor why the “manager” weirdly referred to the restaurant as simply a “top Hollywood eatery.” A skeptic would say it’s because the repeatedly discredited magazine would then be held accountable, and it’s article could more easily be debunked. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, who laughed off the tabloid’s tall tale before assuring us it “never happened.”
Of course, the Enquirer has a long and ignominious history of writing fiction about George and Amal, and Gossip Cop has often called out the outlet for its many falsehoods about the couple. We recently corrected the magazine’s absurd claim that George refused to protect Amal from terrorists in the Maldives when she was there on business. Gossip Cop also previously debunked the publication’s wrong report about the Clooneys being headed for a divorce over his friendship with Faith Hill. This latest article is just more lies from the frequently unreliable tabloid.
