Allison Williams Leaving Girls?
Allison Williams is NOT leaving “Girls” after the show’s fourth season, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively confirm that Williams, who plays Marnie on the hit series, has no plan to abandon the role that made her famous.
The rumor started on Wednesday when a tabloid published a story that claimed the actress “wants out” of the HBO show after the upcoming season because she “wants to be a major movie star.” According to OK!, Williams has yet to “come clean” with “Girls” creator and star Lena Dunham that she wants to leave. The tabloid notes that Williams is “anxious to start a family” with fiance Ricky Van Even, but knows Dunham “wouldn’t want a pregnancy interfering with her show.”
So wait, is Williams allegedly quitting “Girls” to become a movie star or have a baby? OK! can’t even get its own story straight. Regardless, a source close to Williams exclusively tells Gossip Cop that this story is completely untrue. Of course, OK! is the same outlet that falsely claimed Dunham won’t let Taylor Swift be on “Girls” because she “can’t act.”
