Ali Caldwell, Courtnie Ramirez “The Voice” Battle Video: Watch “Hit Or Miss” Performance!
Ali Caldwell and Courtnie Ramirez had a “Hit Or Miss” performance during Monday’s “The Voice” Battles that was a huge hit and led two coaches to try to steal. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Caldwell turned all four chairs with her Blind Audition performance of “Dangerous Woman.” And despite desperate pleas from Adam Levine and other coaches, she chose to join Team Miley. Later on, Ramirez became the final singer in Cyrus’ bunch.
Now the two had to compete against each other if they wanted to continue in the NBC competition. Cyrus gave them a challenging song, as the Odetta version of “Hit Or Miss” has some extremely fast parts. That proved difficult during rehearsals at times, but with help from mentor Joan Jett, Caldwell and Ramirez seemed well prepared.
Cyrus even predicted it would be “the wildest, most epic Battle in ‘Voice’ history.” By the end of the big performance, both she and Keys were on their feet. “This is my first Battle, and I’m all teared up and everything,” Cyrus admitted.
Levine confessed he was still “nursing my broken heart” from Caldwell’s rejection, but gave Ramirez credit for stepping up. Blake Shelton praised Ramirez’s entertainment factor, but told Caldwell, “It would be hard to believe you won’t be around til the end.” And Keys said, “You guys are both obviously a testament to not fitting into any boxes… I don’t know, Miley. Good luck, girl!”
Cyrus ultimately picked Caldwell as the winner. And just went it seemed like Ramirez was out, both Keys and Shelton pushed their buttons to steal. That gave the teen the power to choose a new coach, and she joined Team Alicia. After all, it was Keys who competed with Cyrus to get Ramirez during the Blind Auditions. Watch below!
