Alfonso Ribeiro Gets Perfect Score Doing “The Carlton” On Dancing with the Stars — WATCH VIDEO
Alfonso Ribeiro whipped out his old school “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” dance moves on Monday’s “Dancing With the Stars,” performing “The Carlton” during his amazing jazz routine. During rehearsal, Ribeiro told the camera, “I love the Carleton dance now. I love how it makes people feel.” He noted, “I certainly don’t do it a lot, but I love the fact that people have this nostalgic look at that dance. My number one goal this week is to please the fans and to give America what I feel they have been asking for since the beginning of this show, ‘The Carleton.'”
To celebrate his most wonderful year, Ribeiro and his partner Witney Carson paid homage to his former character, Carleton Banks, by dancing to Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual.” “All I can say is finally,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. Bruno Tonioli called it a “delicious” performance. “I am so glad you made us wait for ‘The Carlton,'” Julianne Hough told the sitcom actor.
Ribeiro and Carson earned a perfect score of 40 out of 40. Last week, Randy Couture and his partner Karina Smirnoff were sent home, but Ribeiro and Carson continue to prove that they are the team to beat this season. Ribeiro and Carson had received the highest score on the show’s season 19 premiere in September. Do you think Ribeiro has a shot at taking home the Mirrorball Trophy this year?
