Alec Baldwin Kicked Off American Airlines Flight in Los Angeles (UPDATE)

Alec Baldwin was removed from an American Airlines flight in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

After fellow passengers tweeted that the “30 Rock” star was kicked off the plane following a dispute with a flight attendant, Baldwin himself confirmed the incident.

“Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving,” wrote Baldwin.

Words with Friends is a Scrabble-like game played on smart phones.

Airlines have rules that when they ask passengers to turn off their phones, everyone has to.

A rep for Baldwin had this comment for Gossip Cop: “Alec was asked to leave a flight for playing ‘Words with Friends’ while parked at the gate. He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”

Hey, at least his pants weren’t sagging.

    Stewardesses (yeah, that’s what I call ‘em) have way too much power. I have *personally* heard other, really ridiculous stories of things that happened to passengers that involve ‘stews’. Yes, they can keep order and potentially save lives but I am referring to the overly aggressive ones.

    @Luna: I believe it could be less than WWF. I was on a flight in which a person complained about the morbidly obese person next to him (who should’ve had to buy two seats). They told him if he didn’t sit down and stop complaining, they wouldn’t leave the gate until he was removed. He didn’t want to sit on a transcontinental flight wedged next to said morbidly obese person. I don’t blame him.
