Perez Hilton reports that the “rumor swirling” around the Cannes Film Festival is that Alec Baldwin and fiancee Hilaria Thomas “are planning to elope after the festival!!!”

He then quotes an alleged “source close to the pair” as saying, “They’ve been telling people they’ll be spending time in Europe, and there’s speculation they’re going to get married.”

Really?

Nope.

Gossip Cop hears that it’s not true, and far more rumor than real.

A rep for Baldwin only offered, “We’re not commenting on speculation about this subject.”
