Adrienne Bailon’s Response to Kim Kardashian: Do You Want To Be Known Only For Your Sex Tape? (PHOTO)
As Gossip Cop reported, “The Real” co-host slammed the Kardashians in an interview, suggesting she was tainted by being associated with them through her relationship with Rob, and that her image had suffered as a result.
Now Bailon is pointing out that “fame and a career are two different things,” arguing that she was successful before her romance with Rob, even if she wasn’t as well-known.
“I have been working hard since I was 15 years old,” she writes. “Being someone’s ‘girlfriend’ is never what I wanted to be famous for.”
Though she never specifically references Rob or Kim by name, the one-time “Cheetah Girl” makes clear her message’s intended target as she continues.
“What makes you ‘famous’ isn’t always what you want to be ‘labeled’ as or known for,” Bailon says. “If anyone should understand that… It should be you.”
Kim, of course, has worked hard to establish a career and image independent of the sex tape that first introduced her to the world.
Bailon also notes that she doesn’t regret her relationship with Rob, but would have “gone about it differently.”
“We all learn from our first loves,” she says.
She captioned her post “#GodBless.”
