Adele “Hello” Grammys Video: Watch 2017 Grammy Awards Performance!
Adele performed “Hello” at the 2017 Grammys on Sunday. Check out the video below!
The song is off Adele’s record-breaking and critically-acclaimed album, 25. Though the record came out in 2015, it was released too late in the year to qualify for the 2016 Grammy Awards. Now, however, it is getting some serious recognition at the 2017 ceremony.
When the nominations for the 59th annual Grammy Awards came out in December, it was revealed Adele had earned five nods. That included all of the top categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. For the latter two honors, the nominations were for the album’s lead single, “Hello.” “Hello” and 25 also scored nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, respectively.
The British star was already a 10-time Grammys winner, accolades she amassed from 2009 through 2014. And while she was likely to get more hardware this year, there was a lot of anticipation for her time on stage. As Gossip Cop reported, Adele’s 2016 Grammy performance of “All I Ask” was marred by technical difficulties.
In fact, Adele later admitted to Ellen DeGeneres she “cried pretty much all day” after the mishap. As a result, many had big expectations for the singer’s “comeback” tonight. Gossip Cop also recently busted a story that claimed Adele was panicked her Grammys performance would be “ruined.”
But the superstar remains as talented as ever, even though later, Adele’s George Michael tribute did not go off without a hitch. Watch the new Grammys performance below!
