Adele Sings Epic “Rolling in the Deep,” Gets Ovation at Grammys (VIDEO)

Adele is back, baby!

With a sensational Grammys performance of “Rolling in the Deep” that earned her an extended standing ovation, the songstress laid to rest any doubts about whether she’d still ”have it” following throat surgery that prematurely ended her 2011 tour.

The best part?

Maybe her little giggle after the last note, as the crowd roared its approval and fans breathed a deep sigh of relief.

    Yeah I think it did! Usually her notes are lower, even when she’s supposed to do higher notes (Someone Like You, for example), sometimes she makes it lower. But it was actually higher here.

    just a normal person with great singing voice…no autotune, no big lights and effects, no crazy outfits ……just a decent performnacce and it was perfect

    I’d DVRd the Grammys and watched her portion of 60-minutes prior to the Grammys. Adele had mentioned her last performance at Albert Hall last year before she lost her voice was in her opinion her best. After hearing her on the Grammy’s I searched out the Blu Ray of that performance, I’ll be expecting it in the mail sometime this week :) She has an amazingly powerful voice, reminds me very much of the first time I saw Martina McBride sing (on some small performance show).

    Adele has a great voice. I love this kind of singing. I like a pure voice with no singing with her to help out her voice. This was to me the best performance and Jennifer Hudson’s tribute to Whitney was next. Love, love it.

    I Love adele and when I say love, I seriously think she has the voice of an angel but something about this performance didn’t seem right to me.. The song sounded different, lighter and not as raspy. The rawness of this song is what makes me like it so much, and I just didn’t think it sounded how she normally sings it. That said she is still amazing and she deserved all the praise she received.

    I agree with you, the song sounded lighter, but I guess the raspy sound will come back in time. She just had major surgery, and I guess she doesn’t want to overwork her voice and the deeper, raspier sound is something that might be still difficult for her to reach. Although it was lighter than her usual way of singing it was still amazing :)

    With the exception of the chorus, she sounded incredibly shaky throughout. This was NOT a good performance, IMO. She’d get the boot on the various singing shows!
