Adele Fan Injured At Glasgow Concert After Chain Falls On Audience – See Statement
A fan was injured at Adele’s Glasgow concert on Friday after a chain fell onto the audience.
Adele was performing at The SSE Hydro in Scotland when the incident occurred. While she was on stage, part of the production set apparently malfunctioned, causing a rigging chain to fall. The singer was unaware, however, and the show continued to go on.
But paramedics rushed into the audience, and at least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment. A spokesperson for the venue says in a statement, “A chain belonging to the production came down and hit one person who was taken to hospital as a precaution. We are liaising with the production crew to ascertain what happened. This is all we know at this stage.”
Adele only learned what happened after the concert ended. She later took to Twitter to tell fans, “I’m so sorry to hear that someone got hurt at my show tonight. It’s being investigated to ensure it won’t happen again. X.”
The British star is still currently scheduled to perform at the venue again on Saturday. Her international tour began in late February and is slated to continue through November. Gossip Cop has reached out to Adele’s rep for more information about the accident. She is pictured above at The SSE Hydro concert.
