Adele “Carpool Karaoke” Video With James Corden On “Late Late Show” – WATCH!
As Gossip Cop has reported, “Carpool Karakoke” has become one of the signature segments of Corden’s late-night CBS talk show. The recurring bit has the host “carpooling” to work with a top singing star, from Mariah Carey to Stevie Wonder, and hijinks usually ensue. Corden first revealed he taped a “Carpool Karakoke” sketch with Adele on Monday, and the teaser clip has already racked up more than six million views.
The full edition began with Corden riffing on Adele’s latest hit song by calling her and saying, “Hello? It’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet.” Filmed in their native U.K., Adele eventually joined Corden as he drove on the right side of the road. And, of course, they went on to belt “Hello” together. Adele was impressed with his singing, and she revealed that she even played the drums on the song.
At one point, she spilled her drink on herself while riding around. The drive also included the pair singing “Rolling In The Deep,” “All I Ask,” and “Someone Like You,” and Adele talking about how she loved the Spice Girls, which prompted them to sing the band’s hit, “Wanna Be.”
Adele said 25 will be the last album she names after her age. “I like trilogies,” said the singer, who previously released 19 and 21. Corden and Adele then discussed who would be in her squad before she rapped Nicki Minaj’s part in Kanye West’s song “Monster.”
Justin Bieber is the only star to date to have participated in two “Carpool Karaoke” segments, and his original one still holds the title for Corden’s most-watched “Late Late Show” YouTube video of all time. It’s quite possible, though, that Adele’s version will go even more viral. Check out the clip below, and stay tuned for the full video!
