Adele Brussels Tribute Video: Watch Performance Dedication After Terrorist Attack
Adele paid moving tribute to Brussels on Tuesday, just hours after the city was rocked by a terrorist attack. Check out the video below.
As Gossip Cop reported, multiple explosions went off in the capital of Belgium, killing more than 30 people and injuring scores more. Less than 300 miles away, Adele was in London, set to perform the last of six concerts at the O2 Arena. When she took the stage Tuesday night, she invited everyone to join her in honoring the victims of the tragedy.
“This is ‘Make You Feel My Love,’ and this is for Brussels tonight,” Adele told fans. “I want you to all sing it with me, alright, so they hear us.” She asked the audience to hold up their illuminated phones, and the sight of thousands lighting up the venue just made the moment feel all the more powerful.
Adele said afterward, “I don’t think I’ve ever actually been so moved before in my life at one of my shows. That was just so beautiful. Thank you very much for doing that. I really, really appreciate it. It’s such a beautiful song. I think they heard us.”
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Mariah Carey actually has a concert scheduled to take place in Brussels on Sunday, which is also her birthday. It’s unclear at this point if the show will be able to go on as planned. Watch Adele’s Brussels dedication below.
