Adam Levine: Jennifer Love Hewitt is “Aggressive” (VIDEO)

Adam Levine has finally responded to Jennifer Love Hewitt’s confession of love, but unfortunately, his reply is probably not what the actress had hoped to hear.

The Maroon 5 frontman appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday — the same place where Hewitt recently declared her affection for him — and told the host, “That was aggressive.”

He quickly added, “It was really sweet and flattering… Beautiful life, you know, beautiful woman says nice things about you.”

DeGeneres then asked the newly single Levine if he’d like her to set him up — with Hewitt or anyone else — but he was not having it.

“I’m cool,” Levine replied.

    How was it “aggressive”? I’m guessing in Adam’s books, any woman who shows interest in a man instead of waiting to be pursued is “aggressive.” He handled it well otherwise, but I don’t like his word choice there.

    Jennifer Love Hewitt needs to take a chill pill. Men don’t like women who come across as desperate. She is such a beautiful women but understand why she has such trouble with men. She needs to relax a little and not be so over bearing. I imagine she is one of those girls who freak out if the guy doesn’t call her straight away, who texts a million messages to them if they don’t respond in a timely matter, She needs to read he’s just not that into you.

    You would think that after Ben ‘The Bachelor’ turned her down she would be more careful about putting herself out there for humiliation, unless she does this for publicity.

    Yeah, that was my take, too. Kind of turned me off to him a little and I like him, but… ewww. In his defense, as far as the rest of it goes, talk about putting him on the spot. It was a no-win for him. But… that “aggressive” comment didn’t sit well with me at all.
