Adam Levine And Andy Samberg “The Voice” Video: Watch “I’m So Humble” Performance!
“I’m So Humble” was released earlier in the day from the soundtrack to Samberg’s upcoming movie, Popstar: Never Stop Stopping, which comes out on June 3. I the film, as Gossip Cop has reported, the comedian plays a fictional pop singer called Conner4Real. The mockumentary has him poking fun at everyone from Justin Bieber to boy bands by taking on some of the worst stereotypes about pop stars.
The project was developed by Samberg and his Lonely Island comedy group. And, naturally, he wasn’t performing on “The Voice” as himself, but in character as Conner. Levine, though, was still just Levine, Maroon 5 front man and “Voice” coach.
This, however, isn’t Levine and Samberg’s first time collaborating together in music or humor. Back in 2007, they did an “SNL” digital short called “Iran So Far.” Then in 2013, they partnered with Kendrick Lamar for the song “Yolo.” That track also premiered on “SNL,” and was the lead single from The Lonely Island record, The Wack Album.
Samberg, of course, is one of the most famous “SNL” alums in recent years, and this marked his first appearance on “The Voice.” As for Levine, in addition to his duties on the NBC music competition, he’s been working on new Maroon 5 music and is preparing for the biggest job of all: Becoming a dad. Wife Behati Prinsloo is due to give birth later this year.
No word yet what she thinks of “I’m So Humble,” which actually isn’t very humble at all. Check out video of the performance below!
