Adam Lambert Summer Concert Series Video: Watch 2015 Good Morning America Performance Here!
Adam Lambert performed in Central Park on Friday as part of the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, the 2015 installment of the “GMA” Summer Concert Series kicked off earlier this month. Jessie J was this year’s inaugural performer, while Ed Sheeran and, most recently, Jason Derulo have also hit the stage. Fans are given free tickets to the shows, which, over the course of the summer, include artists of all genres.
For Lambert’s set, he performed “Ghost Town,” “The Original High,” and “Whataya Want from Me.” “Ghost Town” is the first single from the star’s brand-new album, The Original High. The record was just released on Tuesday, though the lead song came out in April.
Lambert, of course, broke out on “American Idol,” on which he was runner-up in 2009’s season 8, coming in second to Kris Allen. Interestingly, Lambert has arguably gone on to have the bigger career. The singer was asked about the series’ cancellation earlier this week, and candidly said, “I think it’s about time.”
“It’s great that there’s talent that can be discovered via TV, on shows like ‘Idol,’ ‘The Voice’ and ‘X Factor.’ [But] I think things are changing a little bit,” Lambert continued. “Things like YouTube have now become a great way for people to launch their talent, as well. I think things might be shifting a little bit, so we’ll see what the next phase is.”
