(GettyImages.com)

A photographer, who fought with Adam Lambert on a beach in Miami on Thursday, has accused him of battery.

The “American Idol” runner-up had a violent encounter with the paparazzo, grappling with the shutterbug in broad daylight.

Now there is talk of a misdemeanor battery charge against Lambert after the other man filed a report with Miami Beach police. Officials confirm to Gossip Cop that the photog reported the incident and that cops are investigating.

Lambert took to Twitter after the fight, writing, “Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!”

“They’re real good at provoking,” continued the performer, “But there ain’t any pics or video of the b.s. they spew out…”

“Haha well… I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol MIAMI!!!”

If convicted, Lambert could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Those paparazzi should not invade on celeb’s privacy like that. Those things will go to any means. They are destroying America’s peaceful nature of life completely. They are taking over.

  • MissZee

technically, all these celebs are out in the public, it’s REALLY not invading their privacy unfortunately…but the paparazzi shouldn’t just shove cameras in the celeb faces just to make a quick buck

  • BeReal

I say they are invading their privacy. They have no right as far as I am concerned to take anybody’s pic who doesn’t want it taken.

  • BeReal

I don’t just defend my celeb that I like, I defend all celebs. I feel if we are to help celebs, we have to help them as a group. They are human just like anybody else. They have a right to like privacy just as we do.

  • MissZee

which is true. but, all i’m saying is that you can’t stop them ALL..at beaches, people take pictures all the time..its a public beach. if celebs want privacy, then go to a private beach.

  • BeReal

I have seen celebs at private beaches and it doesn’t matter. With their telescopic lenses, they still could take pics. So it really doesn’t make any difference. I can imagine that the paparazzo who got in a fight with Lambert provoked him. Not everyone is going to take the treatment those vultures dish out.

Come on people! – It’s because of YOU that we have paparazzi!

You are here reading celebrity gossip and those of you not here reads it in the tabloids. Just about everybody reads it and for every story there has to be pics, preferably pics showing what the words tell us. We need to see the new boyfriend or girlfriend of our favorite celebrity. We need to see them blindly drunk, being pulled over by the cops or whatever story comes along. And those pics all comes from photographers, the kind we call paparazzi.

Now, as someone pointed out above, if a celebrity wants privacy they shouldn’t go out in public. Because the paparazzi waits for the moment where a story develops, especially one for the cover of a tabloid. If the paparazzi has the pics, the media will pay and pay well. But you can’t sit at home waiting to hear about things and then go out with the camera. You need to be where things might happen.

Remember when you last saw a paparazzi picture of someone in their bedroom? – Never? – Right. But pics of a celebrity making out in a restaurant? – Happens every day. Yes, it really is that simple. Stay home or just go where there’s no paparazzi. Most celebs don’t have them camping out in front of their house. The paparazzi camps out a hotspots like the restaurants that’s ‘in’ at the moment. For every one of those there are dozens of similar or better restaurants with zero paparazzi. But no, they all have to go to Beso, Katsuya, Nobu, Boa, Ivy, Madeo or whatever is hot at the moment, and there you can be sure a horde of paps are waiting 24/7. They know it and still go – and then they whine and complain when the flashes appear. That’s just dumb.

Remember, the paps are just doing their job. You want the pics and they provide. It’s as simple as that.

I don’t need their “dirty” pics. I will never uphold such “low ” paparazzi and tabloids because the game they play is awful. If they just take the pics it would be just find and give them space. They don’t have to be barbaric. How would you like for someone to be “at” you in such a manner as they do? They take pics at bad angles and alter their pics just to make money centered around a category for each celeb. I will never sit and defend only the celeb that I like. I am not a person to start “yelling and swearing” only when something goes wrong with my favorite celeb. No one whatsoever can tell me what they do is justifiable. It’s wrong.

  • BeReal

Oops! be just fine not find

  • MissZee

umm actually, you’d be surprised of the pics paps take when celebs are in their homes

  • MissZee

but seriously, is it me or does it seem the paps and celebs are getting more violently with one another…like celebs having to use physical force to try to get the paps to stop?

You seriously consider this hag a Celebrity? The little she-boy probably its claws out and screamed like a queen to attract attention. Anyway, you go out in Public as a ‘celebrity’, expect somebody to take a Pic. You don’t want them to, be a real celeb, hire a beach!!!!!!! This fag hag wants to be noticed. He has never in his life had this much attention, even if (and I’ll bet on this) 75% of the attention is a laugh, a snicker, a twitter, at the idiocy of the ‘man’. Cut his peepee off – he don’t need it! Yuck!
