Acte II Stun With Opera Version of “I Will Always Love You” on America’s Got Talent
Acte II absolutely stunned on Tuesday’s “America’s Got Talent,” the second week of quarterfinals.
The vocal duo, who are longtime friends since college, closed out the show with an operatic version of “I Will Always Love You.”
Heidi Klum, who gave a standing ovation, told the act, “I can’t even imagine how you can make these sounds come out of your body.”
“You two are spectacular,” she declared.
Mel B was wowed by the way they captivated Radio City Musical Hall, sharing, “You filled up the entire room with your voices. You had everybody on the edge of their seats, and for that I commend you.”
And Howie Mandel agreed.
“Your voices were so strong and enveloped this whole room, it’s like I was surrounded,” he said, adding, “It was just amazing.”
However, Howard Stern, who was frequently the dissenter throughout the night’s 2-hour show, thought the performance was “weird.”
His negative opinion led Mandel to give the women a belated ovation.
