Abigail Breslin Did NOT Diss Taylor Swift As “Unstable Cat Lady,” Despite Reports
Abigail Breslin did not “diss” Taylor Swift as an “unstable cat lady,” despite a report that spread widely. There is absolutely no truth to the claim, which was made by a few outlets, including HollywoodLife.
According to the unreliable webloid, when Breslin recently tweeted, “Cuz darling I’m a nightmare dressed like an emotionally unstable cat lady,” the actress and singer was clearly referring to the cat-loving Swift and her lyric in “Blank Space” that goes, “Cause darling I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream.” HollywoodLies, er, HollywoodLife says, “Breslin’s claws are out” and that she “threw some major shade” at Swift, but she better be prepared to “suffer the consequences” and be the “subject of Taylor’s next big hit.”
No, Breslin has nothing to be concerned about because she was not talking about Swift. Breslin, who has a cat named Gizmo, for whom she recently began a Twitter account, says she was actually referring to herself. She even wrote, “to clarify: my tweet earlier quoting a taylor swift lyric was me saying I AM AN EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE CAT LADY. NOT TAYLOR. JSYK.”
You would think that HollywoodLife, which produces a ton of kitty litter on a daily basis, would have known better. Of course, this isn’t the first time the webloid has been caught peddling inaccurate information involving Swift. The site for months made up a fake feud that never existed between Swift and Selena Gomez, and recently claimed that she and Harry Styles had been “secretly dating for months.” HollywoodLife further embarrassed itself (if possible) by saying Styles sent Swift 1,989 roses, a lie that even the One Direction singer publicly said was untrue.
