Aaron Gibson ‘Round Here’ “The Voice” Video: Watch Live Playoffs Performance!
Aaron Gibson performed “Round Here” on Monday’s “The Voice” Live Playoffs. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Gibson has been a member of Team Miley since the Blind Auditions, during which he turned three chairs with his take on R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion.” He survived the Battle round and then the Knockouts to make it to tonight’s episode, where he had to compete live with the rest of the Top 20. But unlike in past years, there would be instant results for season 11’s Playoffs, with everyone’s fate decided in a single, two-hour broadcast.
That no doubt added to the pressure, but Gibson’s rendition of “Round Here” by the Counting Crowes was quite convincing. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to receive feedback from any of the coaches. With the show needing to fit in all the contestants, the normal post-performance critiques were out of the question.
So while Gibson and his team mates performed live one right after the other, there was no real way to tell which way the vote might go. Viewers could send only two Team Miley artists into the Top 12, with the coach herself picking the third. Would Gibson survive the brutal, abrupt elimination?
Of course he did! Ali Caldwell was voted through, too, and Darby Walker scored the coach’s pick. Belle Jewel and Sophia Urista were therefore eliminated. Check out the video below!
