90-Year-Old Twins Die Hours Apart On Christmas Day (VIDEO)
90-year-old twin sisters Martha Dixon and Mary Dickson died hours apart on Christmas Day in Illinois. The siblings, who had married brothers (one of whom changed the spelling of his last name to re-enlist in the armed forces), passed away just 2 hours and 15 minutes apart on the holiday.
“The twins had a special bond like no other. They fought like sisters, but loved each other like sisters,” their granddaughter Amy Deconcni told FOX 2 in St. Louis. “For twins to go out on the same day two hours apart it’s like one had to take the steps to pass and help then other get through that. Having them together was peaceful but broken hearted at the same time.”
On December 25, Mary died at her home while listening to the song “Santa Baby.” Just weeks before her death, the widow had asked her daughter, “Have you found me a man yet?” Her daughter joked, “Mom, if you’re really good, maybe Santa will bring you one for Christmas.” She tells FOX 2, “And he did. He took her home to my dad.” Check out the video of the news report about the twins’ deaths below.
