Zayn Malik Eight Months One Direction Anniversary

It’s November 25, and for One Direction fans, that means it’s eight months since Zayn Malik quit the group, also known as “#8MonthsWithoutZayn.”

As Gossip Cop has reported, Malik officially left One Direction on March 25. On the 25th of each month ever since, Directioners have taken to social media to reflect on his departure. Many fans are still in mourning. Some believe it’s time to move on, and others are just excitied for Malik’s blossoming solo career.

“i miss him so much but i’m happy for him he got what he wanted now,” wrote one fan. Another argued, “we have the other four doing everything they can for us and yall are still stuck on zayn leaving.” Someone else pointed out, “let’s just accept it. maybe one day he’ll be with the boys again not because of the band but bc of their friendship.” But a different individual simply said, “Hurts. Like the first day.”

Putting aside the wide range of feelings, there’s no denying this has been one of the biggest months for Malik since his exit. Last week, The Fader released its new cover story with the longest interview to date about why he decided to leave One Direction behind. He also gave the first teaser of his new music, a song called “Befour.”

And on the personal front, he’s been spotted out twice this week with Gigi Hadid. Directioners may be looking at the calendar, but it seems like Malik is only looking ahead. As for One Direction, the band successfully released Made In The A.M., its first album without him, earlier this month, so it seems like the guys are only focused on the future, too. Malik is pictured above in a Twitter photo he shared Tuesday. TELL US: What do you think of One Direction fans still marking the monthly anniversary of Malik quitting?
