50 Cent, Gerard Butler Clashing On Movie Set Over Actor’s Scottish Accent?
Are 50 Cent and Gerard Butler clashing on the set of their upcoming movie because the rapper can’t understand his co-star’s Scottish accent? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids. Gossip Cop has the exclusive truth!
The two men are currently in Atlanta, Georgia filming the crime thriller, Den of Thieves, which follows a group of bank robbers planning a heist on the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles. 50 Cent plays one of the gang members robbing the bank, while Butler portrays a corrupt cop in the film. But according to OK!, there’s tension on set between the co-stars.
A so-called “source” tells the magazine 50 Cent “complains that he has no idea what Gerard is talking about,” due to his thick Scottish brogue. The outlet’s questionable insider adds that even when Butler adopts an American accent while shooting scenes, “Fiddy laughs and asks him to repeat himself. The constant confusion is getting old fast for Gerard. He could lose his cool.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for the rapper, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s story is “completely false,” and the two men get along well. In fact, both Butler and 50 Cent have posted a number of Instagram photos of the two hanging out on set. “#DenOfThieves boot camp with the man @50cent,” Butler captioned one image, while 50 Cent posted another shot saying, “I’m preparing for a crazy film, called Den of Thieves. Me and my boy Gerard Butler.” See the photos below.
