5 Seconds Of Summer In Rolling Stone: Justin Bieber “Hates Us”
The interview was conducted in the wake of the American Music Awards in November, and the group confesses to crashing Bieber’s after-party. The superstar and the Australian pop-punk rockers never actually spoke, though. “I think he hates us,” Michael Clifford tells the magazine.
Further recalling the night, Clifford goes on to claim, “It was f*cking crazy, people standing on tables and sh*t. I probably shouldn’t say this, but he had his own album on loop for, like, two or three hours.”
Ironically, Clifford’s negative Bieber comments come several years after he and the 5 Seconds of Summer guys used the superstar’s music to kick off their own careers. In fact, the Rolling Stone article even notes how Clifford, Luke Hemmings, and Calum Hood “would crowd around the camera and croon Chris Brown and Bieber’s ‘Next to You,’ which scored 600,000 views.” Bieber hasn’t responded to Clifford’s allegations.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, the 5 Seconds of Summer story caused a stir on social media Friday and Saturday as 5SOS fans took issue with the flippant way the band spoke about sex and partying. It’s likely Bieber fans are now upset, too. Tell us what YOU think in the comments below.
